Buffer in December 🎆
| Hi there!
230,877,605 social media posts were sent through Buffer in 2019.
Wow!
As we were putting together our annual 2019 in Numbers, we came across this stat, and it blew us away to think about how many amazing brands have grown this year. Your brand, included!
You are connecting more deeply with your audience, building lasting relationships with your customers, and strengthening your voice online.
It's amazing to see.
In the spirit of gratitude and reflection, I'd love to share our last newsletter of 2019 with you. Below, I'll recap all of the new features that you can use to keep building your brand in 2020. We're excited to watch you do it!
2019 Recap
Dive deeper into your social analytics & insights This year, our new product Analyze officially entered into the Buffer family! You can use Analyze to connect the dots between all of your awesome content, and how it impacts your brand growth. Now you can go from being a great social media marketer to a strategically data-driven one.
Hop onto the Stories train! This year, Instagram Stories really took off, and we keep seeing how much they resonate with audiences. That's why we released Instagram Stories scheduling within Buffer in October. Whether or not you have a Stories strategy, now is such a good time to test it out and see what kind of Stories your audience gets excited about!
Transform Instagram into a shopping experience You know it best — Instagram is becoming the new storefront for online brands. You can use Shop Grid to make it way easier for your audience to go from Instagram to your website, while showcasing your products and driving traffic to multiple links at once! (We also just improved this feature this month, so take a peek!)
Keep track of all the fun hashtags There are so many hashtags out there that will help you reach new audiences and customers. How do you remember all of them? Hashtag Manager! Since releasing this feature in August, you can now save groups of hashtags, make sure you reuse your top performing groups, and schedule them right into your first comment, below your caption.
Delight your audience with giveaways Ever see brands run those super-engaging giveaways on Instagram and Facebook? You can do this too! You can manage multiple giveaways, engage with all of the participants, and choose a winner, all within Buffer Reply. This can be such a great way to build relationships with your fans, and you can make it happen in less than 5 minutes.
Follow the story of a DTC brand from the very start One of the most fun things we did this year was create an original five-part podcast series that went behind the scenes of a successful marketing agency as they reinvented themselves and built their own direct-to-consumer brand. We hope you enjoy their story and that it brings you inspiration for your brand in the new year!
While we loved adding all of these things to Buffer this year, you really get all the credit. You are working so hard every day to build your brand, and you inspire us on a daily basis. We are so grateful for your support and to have you in the Buffer community!
Just so you know, the Buffer team will be taking a break from December 23 until January 1 to reflect, recharge and get ready for 2020. We'll be providing limited support during this time at buffer.com/support. Thank you for your understanding and we wish you a rejuvenating festive season and new year!
Mike and the Buffer team P.S. Are you a Shopify user? Tom, our product manager for Buffer Analyze, is exploring a feature to help Shopify businesses grow. However, he doesn't work or run a Shopify store to understand the real pain points. Would you help him?
